Product scope

MediRemind helps patients, families, and carers organise prescription and medication information. It is available for iPhone and Android and is independent of any pharmacy network. Current subscription terms and feature availability are published on the download page.

MediRemind is an organisational tool, not a healthcare provider. It does not diagnose, prescribe, supply, dispense, or recommend medicines or treatments, and it does not replace advice from a doctor or pharmacist. Ovara Tech and MediRemind are Australian-owned; do not describe the product as Australian-built.

Features and data boundaries

• eScripts: Users can save eScript QR tokens in the app for on-device access, including when offline. The app organises tokens; it does not create or renew prescriptions.
• Paper prescriptions: Users can record or photograph paper scripts and track information such as repeats and expiry. A stored image does not replace the original paper prescription when a pharmacy requires it.
• Medication and repeat reminders: Users can record schedules, remaining repeats, and expiry dates and receive reminder notifications. These records are not a live feed from a prescriber or pharmacy.
• Family profiles: Separate profiles help organise medication information for different family members on one device. No numeric profile limit is advertised.
• Family Care: An optional connection lets an invited carer access selected information from another device. This remote connection uses server-side sync; not all data or features are exclusively on-device.
• Pharmacy requests: A user can send a prescription to a selected pharmacy and choose an available fulfilment option. The pharmacy, not MediRemind, assesses and fulfils the request.
