On-Device Medication Data: All medication information, eScript details, repeat counts, reminder settings, and dispense history you enter into MediRemind is stored exclusively on your device using iOS Keychain / Android Keystore encryption. We do not transmit, receive, store, or process this data on our servers.
Account Information: If you create a MediRemind account, we collect your email address and password hash for authentication purposes. We do not require personal health information for account creation.
Usage Analytics: We may collect anonymised, aggregate usage statistics such as app open frequency, feature usage rates, and crash reports. This data cannot be linked to you individually and is used solely to improve the application.
Payment Information: If you subscribe to a paid plan, payment processing is handled entirely by Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We never receive or store your full credit card details.

What location data is accessed: MediRemind requests access to your device’s precise GPS location (latitude and longitude) when you use the pharmacy proximity feature. This is the same high-accuracy location used by Maps applications.
Why location is used (purpose): The sole purpose of location access is to identify pharmacies near you so you can find where to fill or collect a prescription. The app uses your coordinates to calculate distances to pharmacy locations and surface the closest results. Location is never used for advertising, profiling, analytics, or any purpose other than pharmacy proximity.
Foreground use only: MediRemind requests location access in the foreground only — the app never accesses your location when running in the background or when the screen is off. Location permission is requested only at the moment you actively use the pharmacy finder feature, not at app launch.
Processed on-device, never transmitted: Your location coordinates are used entirely within the app on your device. They are not transmitted to MediRemind’s servers, not stored in any cloud database, not included in analytics events, and not shared with any third party. The distance calculations happen locally; only a general suburb or postcode may be displayed to you as a convenience, and even that is derived on-device.
No location history stored: MediRemind does not log, record, or retain a history of your location. Each time the pharmacy finder is used, a fresh single-use location lookup occurs and is discarded as soon as results are displayed.
Third-party mapping services: To display a map or retrieve pharmacy listings, the app may make a network request to a mapping or places API (such as Apple Maps or Google Places). This request includes your approximate location as required by those services to return nearby results. Those services operate under their own privacy policies (Apple Privacy Policy; Google Privacy Policy). MediRemind does not control how those providers handle the location data submitted to their APIs.
How to revoke location permission: You can revoke MediRemind’s access to your location at any time without affecting any other app functionality:
Revoking location permission disables only the pharmacy proximity feature. All medication reminders, eScript tracking, and other app features continue to work normally without location access.
Your medication data is stored entirely on your device and is never transmitted to our servers. We implement industry-standard security measures for the limited account data we do hold, including encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest (AES-256). We recommend enabling biometric authentication within MediRemind for additional local security.
MediRemind integrates with Apple App Store and Google Play Store for payment processing. These services have their own privacy policies and terms of service. We may use anonymised crash reporting services to improve app stability. We do not share personally identifiable information with any third-party advertising or data brokerage services.

MediRemind is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, we will delete such information promptly.
