What Australians Are Saying
"Finally one place for all my medications. I used to search through dozens of SMS messages at the pharmacy, never again."
"Stopped me running out of my blood pressure tablets. The reminders actually work and I love that it works at any pharmacy."
"Perfect for managing my whole family's prescriptions. My husband, kids and elderly mum, all organised in one app."

MediRemind is operated by Ovara Tech, a registered Australian business based in Perth, Western Australia, ABN 43 324 331 038. It was created by an Australian family after experiencing how difficult it can be to manage multiple medicines, paper prescriptions, eScripts and repeats. Medication, eScript and reminder information is stored on your device. You control when information is shared through features such as Carer Share or Request Dispense.
Up and Running in 3 Minutes
Available on the App Store and Google Play. No pharmacy account required.
Paste an eScript link or token, or photograph a paper prescription. Done in seconds.
Set your repeat count and MediRemind reminds you when it's time to refill, before your supply runs out.
What Is an Australian eScript?
An electronic prescription, usually called an eScript, is the digital version of a paper prescription. When your doctor issues an eScript, you normally receive an SMS or email containing a link. Opening the link displays a QR code token that the pharmacist scans when dispensing your medicine.
The system is convenient, but managing several eScripts can become difficult. You may have:
- One message for every medicine
- A new token after a repeat is dispensed
- Different prescription expiry dates
- Several medication strengths
- Scripts for children, parents or a partner
- A mixture of eScripts and paper prescriptions
After several months, the correct token may be buried among appointment reminders, pharmacy messages and hundreds of other texts. MediRemind gives you one organised place to keep everything together.
Stop Searching Through Old Messages at the Pharmacy
MediRemind lets you save an Australian eScript token with its medication record. Instead of scrolling through old messages at the pharmacy counter, open MediRemind, select the medication and display the saved QR code.
Because saved tokens are stored on your device, they can be displayed without mobile reception. This is useful inside shopping centres, hospitals, pharmacy basements and regional areas with unreliable signal.
Everything in One App
More than eScript storage, a complete prescription management app for Australian patients.
MediRemind stores the standard Australian eScript QR code on your device. No pharmacy sign-up, no network restrictions, any pharmacy that dispenses Australian eScripts will accept it.
Your eScript QR code is available without an internet connection. No signal? No problem. The QR displays from local storage, even in basements and remote areas.
Enter your remaining repeat count and update it as prescriptions are dispensed. MediRemind reminds you when the recorded count is running low so you can arrange a GP appointment before your supply runs out.
Set low-supply warnings and schedule push notifications before your estimated run-out date. Works for daily tablets, weekly injections and as-needed medications.
Add separate profiles for children, a partner, elderly parents or anyone whose prescriptions you help manage. Each profile is isolated and protected by the app's biometric lock.
Photograph paper scripts and store them with the same tracking and reminders as electronic prescriptions, useful for anyone managing a mix of both.
What MediRemind Includes
Everything you need to manage prescriptions for yourself and your family, no pharmacy account required.

Every Kind of Medication. Every Family Member.
Daily, weekly and as-needed medications, all together in one place. MediRemind supports separate profiles for each family member on one device. Each profile keeps its own medications, eScripts, paper prescriptions, repeats and reminders completely separate.
What Happens After an eScript Repeat Is Dispensed?
When a pharmacist dispenses a repeat from your eScript, the original QR code token is marked as used. If your prescription has remaining repeats, the dispensing pharmacy sends a new token, usually to the same mobile number your doctor used when writing the prescription.
This means each repeat of the same medicine arrives as a separate SMS or email with a new QR code. After several refills you may have multiple tokens from the same prescriber, spread across your messages, for the same medication, each only valid for one fill.
If you miss the message, your next token is still sitting in the system. You can ask your pharmacist to resend it, or check your Active Script List through Medicare. MediRemind helps you track which token belongs to which repeat, so you always know which one to present next, and how many repeats remain before you need to see your GP again.
Each PBS prescription has a fixed number of repeats. When the last repeat is dispensed, no new token is issued. You need a new prescription from your GP. MediRemind's recorded repeat count reminds you before you reach zero so you have time to book an appointment.
Keep every prescription easy to find. Store eScripts, photograph paper prescriptions, record remaining repeats and manage your family's medications from one app.
