Frequently Asked Questions

How many repeats can a GP put on a script?

For most chronic medications under the PBS, a GP can provide up to 5 repeats (6 months total supply). For some medications, the maximum may be different.

Does an eScript show how many repeats are left?

Yes, but it's often hidden inside the link. When you import an eScript into MediRemind, the app automatically reads the repeat data and shows it clearly on your dashboard.

What happens if I lose my repeat token?

When a pharmacist dispenses a repeat, they send you a NEW eScript token for the next one. If you lose this, you have to contact your GP. Saving it to MediRemind immediately prevents this.

Can I track paper script repeats too?

Yes. You can manually enter the number of repeats from your paper script into MediRemind. The app will then countdown every time you mark a refill as collected.

Does the app tell me when a script is about to expire?

Yes. MediRemind tracks the 12-month expiry date of your scripts and sends you an alert 30 days before it expires, so you have plenty of time to see your GP.
